Visit to London Transport Museum

Friday 05Feb16 I visited the London Transport Museum in Covent Garden with my mum Natalie. I have been to the museum previously but not for a while and I thought it would be a good idea to come again as I have been looking at transport as one of the themes I work on during my Fridays when I do not go to school. We travelled to Holborn Station on the Central Line and then took a short 10-15 minute walk to Covent Garden.

We got there just as the museum was opening at 11am and after buying a nice guide book we started to look around the museum. The museum was busy as you would expect with lots of small school children visiting today.

I especially liked looking and finding out about the buses and trains as these are my favourite forms of transport. I also enjoyed stamping all the different transport stamps all over the museum on the card I got at the entrance.

We had a good trip and we enjoyed visiting the museum, before we made our way home we stopped at the shop and I bought some really cool underground badges. I like collecting badges and I will add these to my collection.

Below are some pictures from my day:

  1. Some of the trains and busses look very old, and some look like the ones we go on today! It’s very interesting to see how they have changed throughout the years, I really enjoyed this post Nathan, I’ve never seen such an old train!
