Friday 12Feb16 I visited the American Musical Theatre Academy in London near Old Street with my mum Natalie. We got the tube to London at around 8.30am and took the Central Line to Bank where we changed on to the Northern Line and travelled to Old Street station. We were invited to the academy by our friend Kenneth Avery Clark the co-founder and principal of the academy. When we got to the academy we meet all the staff including Gary and Christie. We had a good look around the academy and sat in on an acting class and some auditions for Beauty and the Beast. Later in the morning Ken arrived at the academy with his cute dachshund Poppy. We had a good morning at the academy and it was interesting to go somewhere completely different. We left around lunchtime and had a bite to eat at Macdonalds and then got a taxi back to Bethnal Green. Our taxi driver Harry was a very nice man and let me sit in the driver’s seat of the cab while mum took my picture.
