Friday 15th July 2016 I went to the O2 with my sister Sophie and her friend Holly. I have been wanting to climb the O2 for a while and was planning to do this with my mum and Aunt Denise. Unfortunately my mum was not too well yesterday so my sister Sophie suggested that we go and do the climb with her friend Holly.
We got the train from Barkingside to North Greenwich and made our way to O2. We had some time before we were due to start our climb so we popped into the O2 and went in the Nissan Innovation Station which was fun. We then headed just outside the O2 where we booked in, put on our shoes, harness and jacket and received our safety demonstration. We were part of a small group and we started one by one to make our way up the roof of the O2 walking up the steep route with our harness safely secure to the middle railing. It was very exciting and we worked hard in the wind to make our way to the top of the O2. Once we got to the top there was a viewing gallery where you could look out to see views of the Docklands, East London and the City. It felt very good to be up on the top and see all the buildings and river stretched out below us. We took some pictures at the top and messed around a bit laughing with Sophie and Holly.
We made our way down and after getting changed we went into the O2 where we had a spot of lunch at Pizza Express which was delicious and well earnt after all the hard work climbing. I had a really good day with my sister and Holly and would like to go back there with my mum another time soon.
What a excellent adventure!

What a FANTASTIC day we had, Nathan! Thank you so much, I had a brilliant time walking across the O2 (I felt on top of the world!), even though I was a little bit scared, you told me to “be brave” so I tried my best and it worked! I would definitely do it again! My favourite part was when we were at the very top of the O2 and we had a 360° view of London! Spectacular! Thank you again! Also, the Pizza Express was absolutely delicious! Your description of the day is spot on and I enjoyed reading this post nearly as much as I enjoyed my day on top of the O2!
