Friday 17th April 2026 I went to the Royal Observatory with my dad, we travelled there on the Elizabeth and DLR lines from Ilford to Greenwich. We placed one foot in the west and one in the east at the Prime Meridian of the World. Since the late 19th century, the Prime Meridian at Greenwich has divided the eastern and western hemispheres of the Earth – just as the equator divides the northern and southern hemispheres. The Prime Meridian also helped to establish the world time zone system we still use today. We learnt all about Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) at the Royal Observatory, and discovered how Greenwich came to be the home of time. Below are some pictures from my day and with my Harvester food from Tuesday, also if you like reading my blog please comment.
Here are my postcards I bought from the museum shop and my pin badges from Greenwich Market

Looks like you had the most amazing visit! And the food looks absolutely delicious!! Xx
