Orbit and the Olympic Park

Friday 01Jul16 I visite the Olympic Park in Stratford with my sister Sophie and Mum Natalie. We got a 276 bus to the park from my Nan’s house in Bow. We walked through Westfields shopping centre and out to the park where we noticed there were lots of school groups about. We made our way past the aquatic centre and towards the Orbit structure which is just to the left of the stadium. We went to the top of the Orbit and had a look at the view over the park, the stadium and East London. We had tickets to go on the new slide they have installed there but I was not sure if it was for me so Sophie and mum went down. The slide looked very steep, dark and narrow but Sophie and Mum said it  was good fun although they both felt a bit dizzy at the bottom. After our visit to the Orbit we headed back to Westfields shopping centre where we had lunch at Pizza Express before we headed back to Nan’s house to pick up our dog Barney.
