West Ham Stadium tour

Friday 25th November 2016 I went to the West Ham Stadium with my Uncle Gary and my Dad Kevin. We had a great day at the academy of football and learnt all about how the hammers almost single handedly won the 1966 World Cup for England the country’s finest sporting moment. We started our tour after a quick visit to my favourite restaurant Pizza Express at Westfields. We worked our way around the stadium on our self guided multi-media tour listening and watching videos telling us the story of the famous hammers and how the academy of football was started. We saw images of famous heroes from the past and wondered how one club could produce so many top footballers and cool dudes. We went into the executive suites and function rooms and out into the stadium. We ventured down into the changing rooms out through the players tunnel and stood by the pitch just where the that genius Bilic directs the troops from the technical area. We sat on the bench in the posh leather seats and sucked in the beauty of the stadium. No wonder so many team up their game against the hammers this place is a cathedral, a palace, a monument to the game. Before I knew it we were done and had finished the tour. It was great better than I imagined the only slight negative on the whole day was one of the guides admitted to being a spurs fan, what a disgrace how could he even think about following those second raters whilst in the presence of such beauty and magnificence. My favourite bits of the tour were going into the nice posh seats in the stands, the changing rooms and going down the tunnel onto the pitch.
