Welcome photography prize exhibition

Friday 17th October 2025 I went to the Welcome photography prize exhibition with my dad we travelled there on the Elizabeth and Hammersmith and City lines from Ilford to Euston Square.
The Wellcome Photography Prize, now in its 28th year, brings together stories of health, science and human experience. The selected images combine powerful personal narratives with scientific imaging to explore human health at all scales of life. This year’s prize received entries from image makers in over 100 countries. This exhibition showcases the top 25 entries chosen by a jury across three categories: striking solo photography, the marvels of scientific and medical imaging and a storytelling series.
We then had lunch at a nearby cafe and after this we then popped into the Wellcome Collection and took a look round the Thirst water exhibition.
Thirst: In Search of Freshwater’ explores humanity’s vital connection with freshwater as an essential source of life and pillar of good health.
From ancient Mesopotamia and Victorian London to modern-day Nepal and Singapore, the exhibition highlights the vital role of freshwater in shaping health and ecosystems; the consequences of mismanagement, like the spread of infectious disease; and community-led solutions to the global water crisis.
Below are some pictures from my day and with my food from June when I went to IG9 café, also if you like reading my blog please comment.
