| The last week I have been on holiday with my family in the Lake District. On Thursday 17th September we drove up in the evening and stayed overnight at Newcastle-under-Lyme. Friday we visited Trentham Gardens in the morning and then drove to the Lake District stopping off at Morecombe on the way. We stayed for a week at Bowness-on-Windermere. Our holiday house was in the centre of town up a very steep hill with a beautiful view of the lake. I enjoyed my week in the Lake District it was great and a lovely place to visit with my family and dog Barney. During our week we had some great days out including the Stock Ghyll Force waterfalls in Ambleside, a walk up Castlehead in Keswick and a cruise on lake Windermere. We visited the Lakeland Motor Museum, the famous gingerbread shop in Grasmere and the world of Beatrix Potter in Bowness. During my week there I also ran the Fell Foot Parkrun course by lake Windermere and played mini golf at White Platts in Ambleside.
