Postal Museum

Friday 3rd November 2023 I went to the Postal Museum with my auntie Denise, we got straight there on the Elizabeth line from Ilford to Farringdon. Although I have visited this museum several times I really enjoy going there. Today we went on the mail rail train after which we saw a new exhibition. This is called Dressed to Deliver which runs from October 2023 to September 2024. You will discover the battles won for uniform equality and the right to express identity, from the first female posties in trousers to important changes reflecting the cultural diversity of the UK’s postal workforce. On Tuesday I went to Nandos at Westfield Stratford with my mum and friend Pat where I had butterfly chicken, chips and garlic bread for dessert I had a choc-a-lot cake which was delicious. Below are some pictures from my day and also if you like reading my blog please comment.

  1. Your pictures as usual are brilliant Nathan, they really are very interesting, I do love the outfits they used to wear, red is my favourite colour! I was actually expecting to see Postman Pat but he wasn’t there unfortunately . I loved seeing you in the old telephone box, you don’t see many of them now & I loved seeing you standing in front of the old post bus & car, you can just imagine them being driven around the streets delivery mail, excellent . Thank you for showing us another brilliant day XXX ❤️️❤️

  6. Another great blog after an interesting day out. We should all try to write and post more letters and postcards. I loved getting handwritten letters and postcards when I was younger and still have many of them and they’re so much nicer than texts. Thanks for sharing your blog and look forward to seeing where you’ve been each Friday. Jean xx
